Join the Tech Trek Selection Committee

Tech Trek Selection Committee Is Open for Volunteers
If you are looking for ways to make a difference, support our mission, and contribute to the future of women in STEM, the Tech Trek selection committee might be just the group for you.
Beth Krawczuk will lead our efforts this year, succeeding Leslie Carson. Beth is a dual member with the Madison Area branch, and has been active with Tech Trek since its founding. She will be leading the selection committee for both Branches.
"Committee members can be involved in just certain phases or tasks, or throughout the entire process, depending on time availability and interests," Beth said.
Some of the tasks involved are: reaching out to Middle School principals to encourage nominations and acquaint them with the Tech Trek camp (November-December); reviewing applications from the girls who apply (late February-early March); interviewing the girls and their families (March, often on weekends); and meeting as a committee to assess each candidate and make final recommendations to the Tech Trek leadership.
The girls who've attended Tech Trek in past years recount not only the fun they had and the learning, but also the confidence they gained and the sense of belonging. Tech Trek makes a real difference in their lives! If you'd like to participate this year, please sign up HERE.
If you'd like to sit in on the kick-off meeting sponsored by Claudine Keenan, the Tech Trek New Jersey Assistant Director on November 5 at 7:00 p.m., please send us an email.
