About the Event
Join us for a visit to The Seeing Eye's 62-acre main campus in Morris Township. The Seeing Eye trains dogs to assist individuals who are blind, provides instruction on the proper use, handling, and care of these dogs, and conducts research on canine health and development.
During our visit, Summit College Club members and their guests will have the opportunity to learn the history of The Seeing Eye, the importance of their (Volunteer) Puppy Raiser program, meet a Seeing Eye graduate with their Guide dog, who speaks about their path to greater independence, and listen to a Seeing Eye instructor explain the training process with a dog currently being trained. Both the graduate and the instructor also answer audience questions for a very interactive session. There is also a brief tour of the building's historical wing.
Attendance will be limited to 20 people. It will be a free event for…
