Summit College Club warmly invites you, your family, and your community to a special virtual program exploring the powerful role of music in children’s growth and development.
The evening features Dr. Yeou-Cheng Ma, a respected developmental pediatrician, educator, and Executive Director of the Children’s Orchestra Society. For more than 40 years, Dr. Ma and her husband, acclaimed guitarist Michael Dadap, have dedicated their lives to providing inclusive, multicultural music education to thousands of children across New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut.
Dr. Ma—sister of renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma—will share inspiring real-life stories and professional insights on how music nurtures children’s cognitive development, social-emotional skills, confidence, and sense of responsibility, while also opening pathways to college readiness, leadership, and lifelong service. These stories about performances at Carnegie Hall and Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, and about alumni of the Children’s Orchestra Society returning as mentors, performers, and educators, will highlight…
